Works are now visible at the collection! We hope you enjoy your gift(s), and find many amazing things as you browse. Comment at will!

Now that the collection has revealed, you may want to re-date your work so that it shows up at the top of its fandom listings. You're also welcome to do that at creator reveals.

Works are anonymous for exactly one week. The anonymous period, and the event as a whole, will end at 11pm EDT, Thursday 1st May. Please don't share your work under your own name until then, or identify yourself as the creator in comments. (It's fine to reply to a comment when logged in - your account name will show up as Anonymous Creator.)

Comments are required in this exchange. If you find yourself unfortunately unable to comment, please refuse your gift or discuss the issue with mods. We hope your gift (or gifts) please you, but we understand that it doesn't always work out that way. You can get in touch with us at worldbuildingex@gmail.com.

The collection remains open for treats. If you post a work for a new fandom, we recommend tagging it with 'Unspecified Fandom' as well as its fandom so that it is discoverable from the fandoms page.

Enjoy!

Thanks to our wonderful participants and exceptionally awesome pinch hitters, everyone who has submitted a work has a gift, and we are on track for works in the Worldbuilding v2 Exchange 2025 to be revealed on Thursday, April 24, at 11pm EDT!

You can use the remaining time to write more treats! (The collection will remain open for treats, so if you don't have time now to do justice to that nifty prompt you noticed, you can do it later in the year - but if you want to do it now...yay!)

We also recommend that you check your work(s) over for spelling, grammar, exclusion of your recipient's Do-Not-Wants, and inclusion of worldbuilding that addresses one specific worldbuilding tag your recipient requested. You do not need to tag your work with that specific worldbuilding tag, especially since our tagset tags are in the relationship field for matching purposes. However, if you'd like to use a tag that describes the worldbuilding aspect of your work, feel free to use the additional tags field.

We hope you are as excited as we are!

The schedule for Andor (to the tune of three episodes every Tuesday late evening for the next four weeks) means that I am in fact not staying up to midnight watching it all. This week especially I'll manage to watch an episode an evening, so I'm 100% staying off Tumblr until Thursday evening at the earliest. Dreamwidth I'm assuming will be more or less spoiler-free, possibly Discord as well. The Star Wars Discord I'm a member of is very good about spoilers and all of us are: "But we're working adults? How do they expect us to watch this?"

There’s a lot of crappy stuff going on in the world. But I want to highlight good things. So tell me something that made you happy last week (little or big, something you made or someone else did, nature-made like sunsets or spring plants rising from the snow, whatever) or something you did that you’re proud of. It doesn’t need to be world-shaking, just something that stood out to you.
